Dr. Anh, Tran Ngoc

Asst. Prof. Anh, Tran Ngoc currently works as an assistant professor at School of Public and Environmental Affairs and Director of the Vietnam Initiative at Indiana University, the USA. Since 2009, the Vietnam Initiative has worked with Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) to run the Vietnam Young Leader Awards (VYLA). Each year, VYLA selects and awards around 15 full scholarships to outstanding Vietnamese to pursue Master programs at Indiana University.
He graduated with a Master degree in Advanced Economics from the University of New South Wales, Australia in 1999 and received his PhD in Public Policy from Harvard University, the USA in 2009. Being one of the leading economists on Vietnam, he consults the World Bank, the United Nations and the Government of Vietnam on development policies for Vietnam.

Dr. Du, Huynh The

Dr. Du, Huynh The currently is the Director of Master in Public Policy Program and a senior lecturer at Fulbright Economics Teaching Program, a partnership of the University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City and Harvard Kennedy School. His teaching and research interests are finance and banking, urban economics, and infrastructure development. He used to work at the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) from 1996-2005.
He was awarded the prestigious Fulbright scholarship to pursue Master in Public Policy at Harvard University in 2008. He then received the Doctor of Design Degree (DDes) from Harvard Graduate School of Design in 2013 with a research focus on urban development and real estate. He has been taking the initiative in connecting and building a network of Vietnamese students and scholars who are living, studying and working in the U.S. He currently is President of the Association of Vietnamese Students and Professionals in the U.S.
